I. How has water influenced the development of New York City?
What is water?

1)
I. What is water? What physical and chemical properties does it display?
Water has amolecule called H2O. H2O is made up of hydrogen and two oxygens. Water is also a liquid that all living organism on Earth need to survive because they all have to be hydrated and some even make new life in it like deep sea animals that give birth. Humans use water for many things like drinking, making food, bathing, etc.
pH vs. Elevation and Conductivity vs. Elevation
Fri, 06/20/2008 - 14:42 — eacosta
pH vs. Elevation: Our group saw that as the elevation increased the pH decreased with it.
Conductivity vs. Elevation: As the elevation increased the conductivity also went down but then it went up again in that same pattern.
Hypothesis: Does the decrease of living organisms at higher elevations affect the acidity (pH) of the water?
Initial brainstorm: Hydrosphere <-> Biosphere
Mon, 06/02/2008 - 15:02 — eacostaHydrosphere affects the Biosphere
- Without the Hydrosphere the Biosphere will not survive because all living things need water to survive.
- The Biosphere could not pollute anything and the Biosphere would be very dirty.
Biosphere affects the Hydrosphere
- Wthout the Biosphere the Hydrosphere will not get polluted.
- There will be more fresh water on earth.
- The Biosphere pollutes the Hydrosphere.
