Observations
We noticed that the highest elevation has the lowest pH. We also noticed that the lowest elevation has the highest pH.
Observations
The highest point is the lowest elevation, and the highest elevation the lowest point.
Experimental Design
Hypothesis
Can the presance of organism's urine change the pH of water?
We happened to test 2 diffrent types of ways to test our hypothesis.
The first step we did was takng the unused fish water and the used fish water. Then we tested their pH levels (which are in the table). The second step was taking some distilled water and test that pH level. Then we had Jonathan lopez and Rosie Rodriguez to pee into a jar. The third step was mixing the the distilled water with the urine and test it. After all of our test we concluded that water is afected by organisms. What we also noticed was that organisms makes water closer to neutral, which also means that the organisms made the pH higher. This may conclude that less animals can live in high bodies of water.
| Organism | pH of water before contact with organism's waste | pH of water with addition of organism's waste |
| Trout | 5.868 | 6.11 |
| Human | 4.594 | 7.47 |
