pH vs. Elevation: Our group saw that as the elevation increased the pH decreased with it.
Conductivity vs. Elevation: As the elevation increased the conductivity also went down but then it went up again in that same pattern.
Hypothesis: Does the decrease of living organisms at higher elevations affect the acidity (pH) of the water?
Steps:
1) Test the pH of distilled water.
2) Test pH of urine.
3) Mix distilled water in urine.
4) Test the pH of the mixture.
Conclusion: The pH of the water gets more basic the lower the elevation gets because more living organisms live in lower elevations and live in the water and their urine nuetralizes the water because urine is mildly nuetral.
