There are patterenswe see are... as the elevation increases the conductivity decreases. As the elevation decreases the conductivity increases.
A pattern we see is... as the elevation incrases the pH gets farther to neutral. So as the elevation decreases the pH gets closer to neutral.
Hypothesis:Do to the high elevation, acid rain rises the pH of higher water elevation levels.
Process/Steps:First we took samples of water from a river and water samples from a rain strom that had fallen about 2 days ago. Then we had to put them in testing tubes and put 10 drops of cabbage juice/pH indecator to see if the samples would become an acid or basic. It turned out that the rain storm sample was a 6 which would be an acid and the stream warter 7 which would be netural. With all of this data and information we can conclude that when it rains the water has a process that it goes threw to get clean which would be by going down the moutians, but since there is streams that are very high up the water pH would be an acid because it has not gone threw the full process of being cleaned by the rocks.
