water footprint

1.Using your water log (and average water use from the days you logged), calculate what your average water use per year might be.

1a on average i expect to use 118860.56liters of water a year mainley because of my long showers and because of hidden water usage like when i eat meat because it takes  12 full bath tubs  to make one hamburger and i eat meat about everyday so that is alot of water used just with meat so just imagine with everything else i do.

2. What is your estimated water footprint as found using the water calculator on www.waterfootprint.org? (Express in both cubic meters per year and liters per year)   Does this surprise you in any way? Why?

yes it does because alot of kids die for this water while im here using it up like nothing and i wasnt aware that i drink that much water a year . but i am kind of aware i use this much water because i am a athlete that has 2 hour practices everyday of the week so i need to use that much water.

.

3. Think about your average per year from #1 and your estimated water footprint from #2.  Which one is greater?  Why?  How big an impact does “hidden” water use seem to have on your overall water use?

hidden water has alot of water in it because if one burger is 12 bath tubs then fruits and veggies probably take just as much water  to grow and that is alot of liters of water. somtimes, for  beakfest i have orange juice with pancakes and sauges and the sasages alone take 11 tubs of water to make so just imagine t he rest of my breakfest .

4. How does your water footprint compare with the average footprint of the USA?  Why do you think this is so?

the average american uses 2483 metric units and i use 2500 i think i use a little more because  i drink alot more water than an average american , and average american drinks 7 cups of water a day i drink 11.

5.How does the average USA water footprint per person compare with that of other countries around the world?  Why do you think such differences exist?

U.S uses more water and this probably because ,like that song from mos def said "water is power  ,water is money" so people with more power and wealth get more water.
