Sewage and the City

1.  Describe the evolution of NYC's sewage system.  What were some of the challenges that the city faced in its development of a waste removal system?  What are some challenges that still remain?

Well now we have a sewer systems which take all of our wasted water into another place. Some challenges is that since we waste like billions of water everyday, there might not be anymore water(fresh) left. When we waste, litter, and etc, we cause global warming. Which also melts the glaciers so there won't be that much fresh water.

2.  What positive impacts does the NYC sanitation system have on the bodies of water surrounding the city?  What threats does the sanitation system pose to the surrounding waters?

The positive impacts are that we can travel by boat, we put some of the wasted water in the rivers and it will evaporate and make fresh new water for us.(it isnt that good cause we making our rivers dirty and the really dirty water can kill the animals living there)

3.  In clear steps with many details, describe the life of your poop after you flush.

After we "poop" and flush it, it goes down the drain and pipes. Which leads to a place than a train carries it to a different place in a different land or maybe oceans. Then they dump it there.
