1.Describe the evolution of NYC's sewage system. What were some of the challenges that the city faced in its development of a waste removal system? What are some challenges that still remain?
The sewage system evolved by the strategies that came up with to make the sewge treatment plant. The strategy was that the plant would use clean water to be used for all the waste, and when flushed, the water would be turned into wastewater. The challanges that the creaters have faced is on what they are going to use the waste water on. They have only came up withe one idea and it is to use waste and make methane gas wich helps the treatment plant. But the treatment plant companies and workers are still looking for ideas on what to use the waste water on.
2.What positive impacts does the NYC sanitation system have on the bodies of water surrounding the city? What threats does the sanitation system pose to the surrounding waters?
The threats can be that there can be floods based on how the land's elevation and on what causes the elevation to rise. The posotive inpact is that there can always be man-made land to prevent the sanitation from the body of water to flood the NYC.
3. In clear steps with many details, describe the life of your poop after you flush.
The waste dissolves into the water and the leftovers go into a special pipe. Then the waste water goes throgh the water cycle. The water goes into the clouds and makes the clouds more heavy so that when it rains (when it has reached the to the time that it is really heavy), then the rain water goes into the body of water. Is then turned into our drinking water. If the waste water or the waste is taking time to evaporate, then the wastewater becomes a part of the Sludge, ich feeds plants, they love them!
