Water Cycle, Acids, Bases/Acids, bases, & pH

1. Why is the water cycle an important factor in one of the earth's process? The water cycle is an important factor in one of earth's process because this is the cycle that provides us to have the water that we have and need very much! We need it in our everyday lives! This process helps us filter the water and make it clean so that we could actually be able to use it. First precipitation, condensation, evaporation, and more, but then it all starts to begin again.

2. How does precipitation, condensation and evaporation play a role in the cycle?  Precipitation plays a role in the cycle because there is precipitaton when it rains and droplets are dropped from the clouds. Condensation plays a role in the cycle because when it rains, everything else sort of starts to "sweat" because when the heat is hit by something cold, this happens! Evaporation plays a role in this cycle because by the time it rains, this creates puddles, and then soon this water starts to rise into the air, but don't forget, the cycle begins again and again!!!!!!!!

3. How do we play a role in the water cycle, are we a postive factor or a negative? Please explain. We play a role in the water cycle because we are the ones that always pollute and when we pollute, that gets into the bodies of water when it rains so I think we play a negative factor/role.

1. What can you tell me about acids, bases and testing? Well, acids are like Vinegar, Orange Juice, and lots of other out there that must be tested if they are in the water like swimming pools. We do the pH test on the water so that we could know if it's mildly acidic, strongly acidic, mildly basic, or strongly basic. We don't only test how acidic it is, but we also test how basic it is by using the liquid bases.

2. What are the differences between acids and bases? Acids: Kind of a chemical that is mixed with water, usually tested out in swimming pools. Bases: A liquid that can be found in most swimming pools, is also tested in the pH tests.

3. Why might it be important to test water based on the acidity? It might be important to test this out because we want to know if it's not too high, so we could know if it's clean enough to swim in and if it does not have to much chlorine.
