1.In what ways did New York City's location (surrounded by water!) allow it to become a major urban center of the world? Include in your response the different roles that water played in New York's development throughout history.

New York has improved on their water usage and their companies for their water and the job to make it clean. With that being said, New York was shosen as the most industrial state in the countrie. New York is also the second largest city in the world, and London is the first largest. So the water companies' job is to make the water clean, and has made NY a healthy state. ( For now and in that time, unfortianetaly).
