In what ways did New York City's location (surrounded by water!) allow it to become a major urban center of the world? Include in your response the different roles that water played in New York's development throughout history.
What helped New York City become a major part of the world is that there were many trades that were going on. This is at that time and still we were a very wealthy state with many rich people which made it even wealthier because it bumped up the standards. So back to the main point many people hade less then us so we spares and traded the thing we hade a lot of and then in return we got what we didnt have or hade a little of. They used to get goods and different things like furniture and animals that they could not have since they live a big city. They also used to get people and we still do. many people used to travle on boats so they could get to where they wanted to be. Many of these poeple were spanish.
