The Croton Aquaducts purpose is to give clean water to people because back in the days, John Jervis, the creater of the Croton Aquaduct, realized problems with New York's water since it carried deceases that contaminated the people in New York. So Jhon Jervis made the Aquaduct so that it can make our water clean with no problems!
