  An aquedust is a artificial channel that is constructed to convey water from one location to another. The word is derived from theLatin aqua, "water," and ducere, "to lead."

2.      Why was the Croton Aqueduct built? What need was it constructed to fulfill? The Croton aqueduct was built because its fresh water is needed in New York and it can release it so we can just turn on the fuacet.
