Croton Dam and Aqueduct

What is an aqueduct? What makes the Croton Aqueduct an aqueduct?          An aqueduct is a way that people in a state or city are able to get usable, drinkable water. An aqueduct  is a conduit passing through low ground. It is mainlt pulled by gravity. The Croton Aqueduct is an aqueduct because at one point it was an infrastructure helping people in NYC get drinkable water. It is now only serving 10% of NYC's water. An infrastructure is a fundamental facility that serves  a city , state or country.  This once helped people not get sick from bacteria and improper waste disposal.     Why was the Croton Aqueduct built? What need was it constructed to fulfill?          The Croton Aqueduct was a way that people in the 1800's and early 1900's got their water. This water was not completly clean, but clean enough for the people of NYC. It was constructed so that people could stop dying from sicknesses like cholera and yellow fever.   What is the start and end points (terminus) of the Croton Aqueduct? What is the relationship of both points to the purpose of the aqueduct?           The Croton Aqueduct starts in Croton River, passes through Westchester and Bronx Counties and into Central Park. The relationships were that they are places where everyone can access drinkable, healty, usable water. What stage of development-undeveloped, developing, and developed- does the Croton Aqueduct belong in? Explain why it is part that stage.          I think it would be in developing because the water was not completly clean. Also, it was a starting point in which New York started noticing the importance of water. From then on we got better drinking water over the years. Identify some of the features of the Croton Aqueduct. How do they help the aqueduct transport water from start to end points?          Some of the features that the Croton aqueduct has are bridges. They bridges helps water get from one place to another. Another feature is that they have ventilators every mile. This helps the air circulate inside the pipes. They are about 10-14 feet tall. When water cannot get through, people make tunnels so that it is able to pass to a different area.
