Water Scrapbook

Here, we were testing the pH at Harlem Meer and we were also testing the Conductivity of it. We all used the probes to test the capacity of it and we saw our resultts there. Most people got to have a chance testing this out and we learned that if the pH was lower than 7, it is an acid and if it's higher than 7 it is basic.

Water Cycle, Acids, Bases/Acids, bases, & pH

1. Why is the water cycle an important factor in one of the earth's process? The water cycle is an important factor in one of earth's process because this is the cycle that provides us to have the water that we have and need very much! We need it in our everyday lives! This process helps us filter the water and make it clean so that we could actually be able to use it. First precipitation, condensation, evaporation, and more, but then it all starts to begin again.

What's YOUR Water Footprint?

1.  Using your water log (and average water use from the days you logged), calculate what your average water use per year might be. The average water use I use per year might be 111,600 liters because the average water I use every day is 300 liters and when you multiply that by 31 days it equals 9,300 liters and when you multiply that by 12 months it equals 111,600 liters. So my estimate would be 111,600 liters per year of water use.

Explaining Cohesion and Adhesion

1. How can we observe the cohesion and adhesion of water?
