An aqueduct is basically a man made tunnel that transportates water, usaully to homes but now it leads to resuviors. The Croton aqueduct is an aqueduct because it travels from Westchester, New York to Bronx, New York underground and it also transports water to a local resuvior in Manhatten, New York thats in Central Park.
2.Why was the Croton aqueduct built? what need was it constructed to fulfill?
1.In what ways did New York City's location (surrounded by water!) allow it to become a major urban center of the world?
1.How can we observe cohesion and adhesion of water?
A simple way you can observe the adhesion of water is by making a simple glass maybe 6in * 6in and cut a sheet of wax paper that goes half way, once you do this pour drops of water down the glass. Observe the speed of the drops, the faster it goes the less adhesive it is to the material and the slower it goes the more adhesive it is to the material.
1.a.
1.Describe the evoltuion of NYC's sewage system. What were some of the challenges that the city faced in it's devolpment of a waste removel system?
Water Cycle
1.Why is the Water Cycle an important factor in one of the earth's process?
The water cycle is important factor to the earth because it helps keep the earth fuctioning correctly in a way that the water doesn't have a mind of it's own because it did the climate would go crazy! It keeps the climate steady because weather mostly has to do with precipitation and thats one of the steps in the water cycle.
2.How does precipitation, condensation, and evaporation play a role in the cycle?
