Croton Dam and Aqueduct Questons

1.      What is an aqueduct? What makes the Croton Aqueduct an aqueduct?

An aqueduct is a kind of source that carries water from one places to another. It's like a start point and an end point. So what makes the Croton aqueduct an aqueduct is that it travels from Croton, along the Croton River, and end up in Central Park.

2.      Why was the Croton Aqueduct built? What need was it constructed to fulfill?

Water Footprint

1.  Using your water log (and average water use from the days you logged), calculate what your average water use per year might be.

Explaining Cohesion and Adhesion

1. You can observe adhesion and cohesion in multible models. We did 2 models for cohesion. The two were to see how many drops of water you can put on a penny and the other is to see how many of each type of marble you can put on the glass cup. We observed adhesion by taking a glass pane, putting it at a 45 degree angle, taking a water dropper, and droping the water on it. Cohesion is when something stincks together and adhesion is where it sticks to something else.
