1.      What is an aqueduct? What makes the Croton Aqueduct an aqueduct?

Blog Entry: Water Cycle & Acids, bases using pH

Water Cycle:

1. Why is the water cycle an important factor in one of the earth's process?

Answer:It is an important factor in one of the earth's process because it keeps the earth's water balanced.Also since water covers 70% of the Earth's surface it is important to keep it balanced because if there were to be more water then the sea level will rise and then if rises too much(for example 50 feet)then Manhattan will drown.

2. How does percipitation, condensation and evaportation play a role in the cycle?

Hydrosphere <-> Metropolis

In what ways did New York City's location (surrounded by water!) allow it to become a major urban center of the world?  Include in your response the different roles that water played in New York's development throughout history.

Blog Entry: Explaining Cohesion and Adhesion

1.How can we observe the cohesion and adhesion of water?  Give examples that an average person could understand.  Also, you might use counter-examples, of substances that don't display cohesion or adhesion.

Answer:We can observe it by(for example)geting in a pool and examining what happens when the water gets on your skin(you should see/examine that the water will be adhesion on human skin and that it will also show some cohesion).
