I learn in this picture the sewers sanitize waste water that we have use already. It just dosn't clean the water it also pollutes the water.

I learned that the fresh that we get is from the Croton Dam. Also that the croton aqueduct starts at the croton dam as well.

Croton aquaduct

1.      What is an aqueduct? What makes the Croton Aqueduct an aqueduct?

An aqueduct is a structure that is made to cay water from one place to another. Croton Aqueduct is an aqueduct that carries 100 million of gallon every day from the croton dam to New York City.

2.      Why was the Croton Aqueduct built? What need was it constructed to fulfill?

Cota-Geosphere

1. Describe the evolution of NYC's sewage system. What were some of the challenges that the city faced in its development of a waste system? What are some challenges that still remain?

Hydrosphere <-> Metropolis

1. In what ways did New York City's location (surrounded by water!) allow it to become a major urban center of the world?  Include in your response the different roles that water played in New York's development throughout history.

what is your water footprint

1. Using your water log (and average water use from the days you logged), calculate what your average water use per year might be.

My average water use in a year might be 365,000,000 litters. This is my estimate because i added all the total of my average water use from all the days i logged. For example drinking about a gallon of water. And another reason is because i hour shower so i multiplied 30 littter per minute by 60 miutes and it equaled 1,800 litters. And for use of toilet was 26.88 for every flush.

WATER FOOTPRINT

 1.  Using your water log (and average water use from the days you logged), calculate what your average water use per year might be.

ACID, BASE and pH

1. What can you meet about acids, bases and testing?

ACID- A class of compounds that have a sour taste and react with bases and metals. Acid ph is from a number lower then one up to the number seven.

WATER CYCLE

1. Why is the water cycle an important factor in one of the earth's process?

explain cohesion and adhesion

How can we observe the cohesion and adhesion of water?  Give examples that an average person could understand.  Also, you might use counter-examples, of substances that don't display cohesion or adhesion.
